![]() ![]() I would genuinely hope that any other fans would consider the options here. I am a die-hard DS2 fan till the day I die, and I'll definitely be picking up the PS4 version. Nordic is a small, and seemingly-sincere developer, and perhaps I am giving them too much credit, but I see this as an act of good will to tell the fanbase of Darksiders that "Hey, we want to continue on, but we need your help." I realize that some of us are sick and tired of buying these "enhanced" remasters (to be honest, the Sleeping Dogs remaster was kind of a joke), but I don't think this is a cash-grab like most of the others. There's absolutely no real reason for them to port a game like Darksiders (which reviewed decently, but definitely is more of a cult-classic, I'd say) unless they were A.) trying to make a quick buck and hoping the return-on-investment would help fund further Darksiders ideas, or B.) taking this chance in proving to developers that there IS an audience out there for this series, and that fans are willing to buy it. Nordic has said before that they are only going to continue the series if they could get a publisher willing to fund it, as it is not something they could ever fund themselves. Why? Because I think they will be deciding whether or not to continue the series based off these sales. Now, believe me, I am beyond stoked to play it on PS4, despite having the PC and 360 version already. ![]() These are all games that absolutely crushed reviews, and thus, could easily be milked into the next generation because some people loved them so much they'd play them a second time. ![]() I mean, look at all these other remasters lately: Tomb Raider, DmC, Sleeping Dogs, The Last of Us, GTA5, etc. Honestly, I am pretty sure this is just a way for them to try and gauge interest and garner support for a continuance of the Darksiders series. ![]()
